Winston-Salem jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one inning and didn't look back, downing Lynchburg 11-0 to take game three in the series. Winston-Salem pounded out a 10-2 win over Lynchburg on Wednesday night at BB&T Ballpark. The Dash have taken the first two games of the four-game set. The series continues on Thursday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. in the Triad.

The Hillcats have announced the winners of the 2010 Team Awards. Cody Puckett won Team MVP, Jordan Hotchkiss earned Pitcher of the Year and Donnie Joseph won Reliever of the Year. Puckett also won the Bowen Jewelry Company Most Popular Player Award, as voted by the fans throughout the season.
Tired of pitching tentatively following Tommy John surgery, Hillcats right-hander James Avery started attacking the strike zone and was rewarded this week with a promotion to Double-A.

Catcher Devin Mesoraco started 2010 with Lynchburg and ascended to Triple-A Louisville, where he hit two Grand Slams in his first two games with the Bats.
